- Watering Needs: Maintain evenly moist soil during the active growing season, allowing the top layer to slightly dry out between waterings. Reduce watering in cooler months but do not allow the roots to fully dry. Humidity levels of 60% or higher are beneficial for healthy development.
- Soil and Support: Grow in a well-draining, loose mix that mimics its epiphytic habitat—typically a combination of orchid bark, peat moss, and perlite. Provide a sturdy vertical support such as a trellis or moss pole for the vines to climb, which encourages natural growth and future flowering.
- Growth Habit and Temperature: This fast-growing tropical vine can reach lengths of 10 to 20 feet or more under ideal conditions. It flourishes in warm temperatures between 70–90°F and should be protected from cold drafts or temperatures below 60°F. Best grown indoors or in a greenhouse in cooler climates.
