A mix of turnips and moisture tolerant clover species, this blend can survive where others can’t. So many times we see people letting low spots or moist areas go un-planted because they think there’s nothing they can grow there. That’s just not the case. This blend of moisture tolerant species can do well in areas too wet for other plantings. Turnips and specially selected clover species hand picked to tolerate extra moisture can allow you to plant where other plots have failed. Now it isn’t magic so don’t expect it to grow underwater but it can definitely open up moist areas for planting that many other species can’t tolerate. If you've got a wet plot pick up some Soggy Bottoms this year and give it a try, you might just open up some new ground that you never thought you'd be able to get a good plot on. Ingredients: Turnips 3 Clovers How we formulated this mix: The clovers selected are among the most moisture tolerant varieties available and turnips also excel in wet ground. WHERE TO PLANT: Areas with full sun to moderate shade. Well suited to moist areas. Don’t plant this in standing water but a low spot that stays wet is just fine. pH: 5.5-7.0 MINIMUM SOIL FERTILITY NEEDED: Moderate WHEN TO PLANT: NORTH: March-May or July-Aug CENTRAL: Mar-Apr or Aug-Sep SOUTH: Sep-Early Nov Can be frost seeded in winter 3-5 weeks before the last frost. SOIL PREP: Disc, tiller, or plow, or can be used as a no-till planting just use landscape or hand rake or expose/lightly work soil. Culti-pack or drive over with an ATV before and after planting for best results. PLANTING DEPTH: 1/4in or less FERTILIZER: For best results use the Whitetail Hill Soil Test and apply fertilizer as recommended by the test - Order at WhitetailHill.com
