The collar that holds the Poker in place is meticulously hand-crafted and features a knurled finish that improves the function, feel, and aesthetic of the collar. To care for a Proto Pipe, regular maintenance is essential for longevity and smooth performance. Depending on usage, occasional spot cleaning or a thorough weekly cleaning will help prevent excessive buildup. Cleaning while the resin is still soft is much easier than waiting for it to harden. Use a pipe cleaner, isopropyl alcohol, and Q-tips to remove residue from the bowl, chamber, and mouthpiece. Disassemble the removable components, soak them in rubbing alcohol, and wipe out the tubes and bowl for a deeper clean. After cleaning, thoroughly rinse all parts with hot water to remove any remaining residue.
